On this Remembrance Day, 100 years since the outbreak of the First World War, it is important that we remember all those who suffered in that war and all other conflicts since.
At St Johns there are nine graves known to, and documented by, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. In addition there are several other graves where the inscription details lives lost during conflict but which are not listed by CWGC - and more may still yet be revealed.
In remembrance of all these lives, a simple poppy tribute has been placed on each grave. Hopefully, we can continue this every year.
